Stadium Development at Ossett United

Stadium Development at Ossett United

We are delighted to announce FM247 have recently been successful in winning the Tender for the new Changing Room Facility at Ossett United’s Ingfield Ground which is due to start in March. After a competitive tender process and a thorough evaluation process, our designs, value for money and build program were the best solution to meet the club’s very ambitious timescales. From a traditional build model, we are excited to be awarded a prestigious contract with one of the county’s most ambitious non-league clubs. The state-of-the-art changing rooms that will include showering and physio facilities will be completed on the 26th July in time for the pre season schedule.

Ossett United were formed this season when the two Ossett clubs(Albion and Town) merged. The first team are currently fighting for promotion into the northern premier league next season and are also in the country cup final. The need for development has come out of Ossett United’s aggressive approach to their progression up the English football pyramid. With football being played at Infield for 75 years, updates to the ground and facilities have been scarce and due to new ownership and the merger of both Ossett clubs, foot fall has massively increased at the ground. This means many parts of the ground will require attention and improvements, with the changing rooms being the start of this development.

Phil Smith Chief Executive Officer ofthe club had this to say about the project:

‘Despite having previous experience with FM247 we decided for best practice to tender out the work for this particular project. After meeting with several capable companies FM247 managed to present the best options in the time frame and budget that we required. Since engagement we have had nothing but first-class communication and support from the group and this is now a project, we are very excited to see them deliver. Our progression is paramount and teaming up with FM247 will guarantee us moving in the right direction.’
